Safety Options
Pneumatically operated air bell



Adds camera that is positioned behind and facing the operator station. The DVR captures & records the video feed from that camera.
360˚ birdseye view & 4 camera surround / operator console mounted dual monitors
Stand alone manual emergency stop buttons. Mounted exterior cab front right & left, reachable from ground level. When applied, machine shifts to Neutral, parking brake is applied, and rail air is dumped. (Included standard with radio remote control option)
Provides the integration of a passcode or RFID card ignition system to log operators. Ignition & start of machine locked out without appropriate access.
Provides a swinging gate at the top of each ladder
Provides “deadman” switch on the hand throttle (standard on NXT)
Provides an operator seat that is equipped with seat presence, seat belt switch, and high vis safety orange colored seat belt. Switches are integrated into the machine control system and allow/disallow machine operation if operator presence and seat belt criteria is not met. (SWX & NVX only)
Remote controlled, can be mounted front cab, rear cab, or both.
LED side marker lights, white and red in color. 3 on each side of the machine.
Provides sensors for the rail wheel to alert the operator if front or rear rail wheels are down when changing to road mode (NXT ONLY)
Performance / Efficiency
Automatically shuts down the diesel engine after a specified amount of idle time.
Provides a single grease zerk point to apply lube to most accessible grease points throughout the machine.
Provides hardware and connectivity to operate multiple Shuttlewagons coupled together. Enhances total tractive effort.
Provides high pressure air nozzles and rail sweeps front/back, in addition to rail graphite wheel flange lubrication.


Extends the sliding coupler from standard 11” from center to 16.7” from center to allow navigation around sharper curvature.
Cellular / GPS based telematics system to remotely monitor the Shuttlewagon.

Radio Remote Control
Cattron locomotive remote system allows machine to operate fully from the remote transmitter (in rail mode).
Ordering Shuttlewagons equipped with remote ready equips the machine with all harnessing, mounting points, and necessary control modules to easily install the full remote control option at a later time.
Includes emergency stop controls mounted on cab reachable from ground level, includes ShuttleWatch inertial measurement device that records pitch/roll/acceleration.
